Our Product: The Little Book Of Zombie Mathematics

The Little Book of Zombie Mathematics CoverThe Little Book of Zombie Mathematics, written by Colin M. Drysdale (the creator of How To Raise A Happy Genius), provides a unique and alternative approach to getting people interested in mathematics. Originating as the Maths With Zombies blog, this book provides 25 zombie-based maths problems that, in the event of a zombie apocalypses, will be important to be able to solve if you want to survive. Each one comes with multiple choice answers (in case you don’t want to do the maths) and a full explanation of how to arrive at the correct answer (if you are interested). If you have an older child who is struggling to see why maths is important in everyday life, then this might just be the book to persuade them that it is.

While all the maths problems are available for free on the original blog, the book brings them all together in a single volume and adds a scoring system that you can use to calculate your MWZ (Maths With Zombies) score that you can use to estimate, based on your maths skills, how long you would survive in the even of a zombie apocalypse. This book is just plain fun for everyone, but with enough background information about the maths to give you a good chance of learning something new, too. However, as the author says, ‘Any learning that results from reading this book is purely co-incidental rather than intended!’
